Here's another one of my creations...a deer antler tamper called "Flamin' Stump"! I'm still working with one of the antler's that I received from my bro-in-law and thought I'd try something a little different. The base of the antler just looked like a tree stump and so I hacked it up, dremeled a hole as well as growth rings where it looks like it has been cut, then sanded/dremeled the flame tamper. The stump is the base and flame is the removable tamper. Once the carving and sanding was finished, I added some color with leather dye...there you have it!
The base measures 1-7/8" tall and 2-1/8" wide. The flame is 1-1/8" wide with a stem length of 1-3/8" and overall length of 3-1/4". With the flame in stump she measures 3-3/4" tall. I may add a little black in between the flames and coat it with polyurethane...but I haven't made a final decision. What I may do is work on more flame inserts :P Then again....
