Yesterday I received my order from Ed Bopp of BoppPipeProvisions on Etsy (@pipeprovisions on IG) and all I can say is cool!! Ed wrapped each tamper in brown paper & wick-like string. What is cool about Ed is that he sent me one of his Dynamite tampers...totally unexpected but much appreciated!
The Claw tamper has some weight due to the metalwork by Perry Gargano which is a crab claw in an antique finish. The claw is mounted on the top and accented with a strip of Arctic Tundra Sheepskin. The shaft is made of Poplar wood which is 1-1/2" at the top, tapers down to 5/8", and is 6-1/2" in length. Love the crafwork and overall design. It will be used often for sure!
The second is the lil' Dynamite tamper which is also made of Poplar, hand painted and stamped "TNT". It measures 3-1/2" in length and 1/2" round. The wick is a metal pin whcih functions as a poker. It is a neat lil' tool in its function and just an accent sitting in the bowl of any pipe!
Ed has several styles of hand painted tampers, claw tampers, and even whistle tampers. If you don't already own one of his tampers...what are you waiting for?!Good prices, great product and cool dude!
